Forschungen zur baltischen Geschichte

"Forschungen zur baltischen Geschichte" ( FzbG ) is a publication series of the Estonian Academic Historical Society (Akadeemiline ajalooselts) published since 2006. They see themselves as an academic journal in the field of historical area studies. Beyond the narrow linguistic framework of the individual states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, the aim is not least to promote intra-Baltic professional communication. The FzbG maintains a regional focus on the "historical" Baltic States (Estonia, Livonia and Courland, i.e. roughly the present-day republics of Estonia and Latvia), but contributions on Lithuanian history are also welcome. The time frame of the articles, however, ranges from early times to the post-Soviet period. In addition, contributions dealing with the supra-regional contexts in Northeastern Europe are especially welcome.
